CCS Technologies transitions to new ownership after 42 years

PRESS RELEASE

CCS Technologies transitions to new ownership after 42 years.

CCS Technologies, a west-Michigan based information technology service and sales company, has a new owner and President, Ryan McMillen, after 42 years of business.

The original location was founded in 1976 in Coopersville by Greg Slater.

Slater shared his sentiments with clients in their latest newsletter, saying “Ryan has been a huge part of the ever-changing evolution in technology and shares in the commitment of keeping our customers operational while we implement new technologies that help our customers continue to grow their business.”

McMillen’s vision for the company remains true to the original vision of the company, to keep the customer operational. “As a new chapter unfolds for our company, I can’t help but get excited for our small business and residential customers”, McMillen said.  “Technology is making our jobs and lives easier and more productive. We continue to evolve as a company to offer new products and services in a never-ending attempt to serve our customers in new and innovative ways. We have and always will concentrate on keeping our customers operational and providing personal and local support.”

CCS Technologies started out providing small to medium sized businesses with accounting and payroll services and has shifted to today where the focus is on the information technology systems in place and ensuring that those systems stay operational. The company evolved significantly during the 42 years that Slater led the organization.

“I have great admiration for our previous President Greg Slater and intend on supporting each and every customer with the same dedication he has displayed over the last four decades.” said McMillen.

“Local support and personal service has been the key to our longevity,” shared Slater, one of the founders of CCS Technologies.  Proof of this high level of customer service and community support is evident in honors that the company has received over the years, including the Coopersville Chamber of Commerce Service Provider of the Year in 2010.

Local support for the new leadership is evident.  Mark Northrup, owner of FPC Grandville, noted “I was very pleased to learn that Ryan McMillen has taken the helm of CCS Technologies.  I have been a CCS client for over three years and Ryan was the engineer that transitioned my small business IT from a home system to a professionally managed system.  Not only was he technically knowledgeable, he understood the challenges of setting up a secure, robust and safe IT.”

Northrup expanded that “Ryan is not just a great engineer but he also is now a small business owner like his clients. He is a local person and a veteran. He understands the loyalty and dedication, hard work and technical expertise.”
